Weld More – Grind Less

My bad welding pales in comparison to my horrible fit-up skills. I launched Weldables to help other welders like me achieve perfect fit-ups, aligned with slots and tabs, or hole and pins – because everyone knows that a fitter is always more expensive that a welder… and that a good fitup, makes for an easy weld!

Mission Statement: Weldables sells pre-cut metal in flat packed, shippable, unassembled, Ready to Weld kits for industry, homeowners, and hobbyists to assemble and weld themselves, utilizing interlocking “Slot and Tab” or “Hole and Pin” fit-ups at intersections for fixtureless welding – Assembled like a life-sized LEGO® set – no jig required!

Vision: To be the leading material supplier known for improving efficiency of welded assemblies.

NOTE: WELDING PROCEDURE SPECIFICATION (WPS) AND THE DESIGN OF WELDED CONNECTIONS – (Purchaser / End User Responsibility)

The end user / purchaser is ultimately responsible for coming up with or using a Welding Procedure Specification to be used in welding and assembly of our material kits. Welding Procedure Specifications should demonstrate full and complete information regarding location, type, size, and extent of all welds and shall be clearly shown on the drawings.

Weld bead penetration should be indicated. Also note that certain welding sequences and techniques can affect joints and make then susceptible to warpage, distortion, and shrinkage stresses. Therefore, to minimize shrinkage stresses and distortion it’s especially important that the welding sequence and technique be carefully noted and followed.

Welding shall be in accordance with AWS D1.1 or equivalent (or as applicable for the end user’s design requirements). Welds shall be as specified by the Purchaser / End User / Designer. Provide welding special inspection as required by local or industry specific codes.
